Our Mission

The Nashua Chamber Orchestra (NCO) seeks to fill an important niche between the full symphony and the chamber ensemble, focusing on lighter works written for small orchestra. The NCO provides a supportive environment for talented amateurs to perform classical music of high caliber before an appreciative audience.

For four decades the NCO has been part of Nashua's music scene. We feature works by composer written for a small orchestra spanning all musical eras from Baroque to Contemporary. We also like to spotlight up and coming local composers in the greater Boston area by giving them the opportunity to have their works performed in front of an appreciative audience, often for the first time. We are also very proud to feature exceptionally talented youth soloists. In 2014, we featured a 14 year old cellist, Zlatomir Fung who went on to win the Silver Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition and First Prize at the Klein Competition. In 2015, we featured a 17 year old violinist, Yuki Beppu, who is now studying at Julliard and has performed at Lincoln Center as well as for President Obama. We run promotions every season for young students, seniors, and veterans to attend our concerts. Additionally, we have a free family concert at the Nashua Public Library featuring the instruments of the orchestra, hands on demonstrations, and guest youth conductors.

Under our Musical Director, David Feltner, we expect to continue to grow musically and to move in exciting new directions. Please join and support us as we expand our horizons!
