Kevin Chen is a pianist from Andover, Massachusetts and is a major in computer science and music at College of the Holy Cross, where he is a recipient of the John E. Brooks Music Scholarship at College, and currently studies piano with Artist in Residence Adam Golka.
Since he started studying piano at age 6, Kevin studied with Mila Filatova and has worked with professors internationally such as Tamara Poddubnaya, Victor Rosenbaum, Max Levinson, Arnaldo Cohen, and Carleen Graff. Kevin has participated in various competitions and music festivals locally and internationally, having won the NEPTA Competition, Steinway Competition, Gavrilin Piano Competition in Russia, MTNA Fall Competition, MTNA Bay State Contest, among others. Kevin has won all levels of the Granite State Piano Competition during his studies, and has performed at Carnegie Hall.
In 2012, Kevin collaborated with the Nashua Chamber Orchestra in the performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor.
